COLOMBO (News1st): Three Sri Lankans stranded at airports in Dubai and Maldives were flown back to the country this week.
Two people from Dubai had been brought back on Wednesday while one person was flown back from Maldives on Thursday.
Meanwhile, 30 Sri Lankans stranded in overseas airports will also be repatriated in due course, Additional Secretary to the President for Foreign Relations, Admiral Prof. Jayanath Colombage said.
He added that these measures are being carried out while coordinating with Embassies, High Commissions and Consular services in the respective countries.
Admiral Prof. Colombage confirmed that the repatriated Sri Lankans will sent to quarantine centres for 21 days.
