Police curfew imposed across 19 districts was lifted at 6 this morning.
The President's Office said the curfew in these areas will be reimposed at 2 p.m. today and will be in effect until 6 a.m. on the 6th of April.
However curfew currently in effect across the Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara, Puttalam, Kandy and Jaffna districts will continue until further notice.
Travel between districts has been completely banned except for essential services.
Deputy Inspector General of Police - Ajith Rohana said anyone traveling during curfew period without a valid curfew pass would be arrested without a warrant and would be charged under the Quarantine & Prevention of Diseases Ordinance and the Code of Criminal Procedure
