Hotline introduced for tourists in the country

COLOMBO (News1st): The Ministry of Foreign Relations says that a special telephone line, 1912, has been set-up for tourists to complain over any negative experiences in the country. Issuing a statement, the Ministry said that measures would be taken to ensure Sri Lanka's traditional hospitality towards foreign nationals in these difficult circumstances. The negative experiences of tourists in the country in the recent past had been focused during a meeting chaired by the Secretary to the Ministry of Foreign Relations Ravinatha Aryasinha with foreign envoys. Ambassadors as well as representatives from the Ministry of Defence, Police Department, Department of Immigration and Emigration, Airport and Aviation Services, Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau, Civil Aviation and Sri Lankan Airlines were present during the meeting.
