Investigation Launched into Grade 5 Scholarship Paper Leak

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Department of Examinations says that an investigation team will leave for Anuradhapura tomorrow to investigate the leaking of a question paper of this year's Grade 5 scholarship examination on social media.

Commissioner General of Examinations, Amith Jayasundara, said that further action will be taken based on the team's investigations.

A question paper was photographed and released on social media shortly before the exam from an examination center in Anuradhapura.

Commissioner General of Examinations says that statements were recorded from six teachers working in the examination center in this regard.

Commissioner General of Examinations also said that the person who photographed the question paper and released it on social media has been identified.

The Grade 5 scholarship exam was held yesterday at 2849 exam centers.
