Only two people permitted to enter nomination hall : Police

Sri Lanka Police said only the person handing over nominations for the 2020 Parliamentary Election will be allowed to enter the nominations hall, accompanied by only another person. However, Police said the decision reached was to restrict the number of people to three, but requested all factions to limit their representation to two people. Nominations for the 2020 Parliamentary Election will be accepted tomorrow and the day after. Police headquarters requested the public representatives and the members of the public to comply with the instructions. The National Elections Commission said the three day government special holiday will in no way affect the accepting of nominations for the Parliamentary Election.
