Ranjan has not submitted any tapes - Speaker

COLOMBO (News 1st):- The speaker of Parliament Karu Jayasuriya said MP Ranjan Ramanayaka has not submitted any CD's containing call recordings to the Parliament. Responding to a question posed by State Minister Nimal Lanza, as to whether or not the voice recordings were handed over or not, the Speaker said that although he had already informed the General Secretary that he will handover them, he had failed to do so. He further had added that although the MP handed over the recordings to an official with a note, Ranjan had taken them back, adding that the Parliament bears no responsibility in this regard.
