Permanent appointments for 6000 graduates

COLOMBO(News 1st) - The government has decided to hand over 6000 permanent appointments to graduates who were trained in the Civil Service. Secretary to the Ministry of Public Administration, Home Affairs, Provincial Councils and Local Government, Siripala Hettiarachchi said 10 boards have been appointed to ascertain the eligibility of the trainees who were inducted to the training program a year ago. The Secretary added that they have been trained in various areas including management, computer technology, and management at various government institutions. Meanwhile, the Secretary noted that preliminary arrangements have been made regarding the appointment of another group of graduates recruited for training in the government service.
