Indian Security Advisor, Ajit Doval meets President

COLOMBO (News 1st):- The National Security Advisor of India, Ajit Doval has met for a discussion with President Gotabaya Rajapaksa at the Presidential Secretariat. The president's media division said the National Security Advisor had pledged to provide USD 50 Million to purchase equipment for security forces in Sri Lanka, and support to develop the gathering of intel. During the meeting between president Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Ajit Doval, the importance of reviewing knowledge of the maritime zone between Sri Lanka, Maldives and India were discussed. According to the PMD, India's National Security Advisor had stated that other regional governments should also be involved in this process. Dowal arrived in the country this morning (January 18) on an official tour. The Ministry of Foreign Relations states that he is due to meet with a number of foreign diplomats in order to discuss a number of important concerns. Ajit Doval was the former chief of India's Research and Analysis Wing, more commonly known as RAW.
