Search operation following leopard killings in Udawalawa

Colombo (News 1st): The Police Special Task Force and the Department of Wildlife launched a search operation following the killing of a leopard in the Udawalawa Forest Reserve. Yesterday (January 3) remains of a leopard were found near the Mauaara reservoir located adjacent to the Udawalawe National park. Wildlife officers assume, that the approximately 2-3 year-old Leopard was killed on the 31st of last month. Moreover, another Leopard was found dead in the Pillahena area in Peragashandiya, Yatiyantota.
