Cannabis plantation in Athimale raided

Colombo (News 1st): A Cannabis plantation in the Athimale area was raided by the Police. Our correspondent said the contraband was on about 2 acres of land. Two people were arrested following the raid while police destroyed 12,100 Cannabis plants which were approximately 07 feet tall. The suspects were residents of the Maharagama and Kudawa. Police said the street value of the destroyed plants was estimated to be Rs. 25 Million. The suspects are due to be produced before the Monaragala Magistrate Court.
