COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Ministry of Passenger Transport Management states that a cabinet paper will be submitted to the Cabinet along with a survey report on the semi-luxury bus service.
A senior spokesperson stated that the survey concludes that most of the passengers have provided that they do not need the semi-luxury bus service.
The survey was carried out by the National Transport Commission and was officially handed over to the Secretary to the Ministry yesterday (December 23).
The Ministry of Passenger Transport Management stated that public demand to terminate the service and a number of issues pertaining to the service might lead to the termination of the service, however, the semi-luxury license might be re-issued to those who maintain the semi-luxury standards.
