Swiss embassy staffer who was allegedly detained appears before CID

COLOMBO (News 1st) - It has been reported that the Swiss embassy staffer who is at the center of controversy, over being allegedly kidnaped and interrogated, has provided a statement to the Criminal Investigations Department. One the 3rd of this month the court ordered that the embassy official be barred from travelling overseas without the approval of the court until the 9th of this month. The order was delivered by Colombo Chief Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne. The Swiss embassy staffer was also ordered to appear before the CID to provide a statement before tomorrow, the 9th of December.
