Port City celebrates adding 269 hectares of land to geography of Sri Lanka

COLOMBO(News 1st) - Celebrating the occasion of adding 269 hectares to the land of Sri Lanka in the Colombo Central Business District, Port City Colombo issued a commemorative stamp and first-day cover. The event was attended by Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa, Chinese Ambassador to Sri Lanka Cheng Xueyuan, Tang Qiaoliang President of China Harbour Engineering Company and other officials attached to the project. The commemorative stamp and first-day cover was issued at the beginning of the event. This event was followed by a grand fireworks display engineered by a renowned Chinese fireworks team.
