Reuters-An old lighthouse on the Danish west coast that risked falling into the sea because of coastline erosion was moved inland on Tuesday (October 22).
Hundreds of people braved cold and wind to see the 120-old Rubjerg Knude lighthouse slowly being moved to a more secure location.
The 25-meters-tall lighthouse had been put on wheels and rails for the around 60-meter trip inland.
The lighthouse is a popular tourist destination and is visited by around 250,000 people every year and unless measures were taken, it was expected the lighthouse would fall into the sea by 2023.
