Rainy weather to intensify

COLOMBO (News 1st):- The Department of Meteorology states that rainfall across the country could possibly increase in the coming days. The expected increase in rainfall could be experienced in the Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, Uva and North Eastern provinces. The department further urges the general public to remain cautious of lightning. Showers or thundershowers could possibly occur after 2.00 pm every day. Meanwhile, the National Building Research Organization states that the landslide warning issued for many divisional secretariats including Kegalle, Ratnapura and Badulla districts will be in effect till this evening (October 20).
