Navy arrests three people with 221 kg of Kerala ganja

COLOMBO (News 1st):- Navy in coordination with Sri Lanka Coast Guard apprehended three persons with 221.8 kg of Kerala cannabis, during a patrol, carried out at Weththalakerni area, Jaffna at dawn today (19th October). Two suspicious persons on a dinghy had been observed during a patrol carried out by Northern Naval Command in coordination with Sri Lanka Coast Guard. A search found this stock of KG which was packed in six sacks as 89 parcels. The suspects with the dinghy were apprehended. The suspects along with the stock of KG are due to be handed over to Kankesanthurai Police for further action.
