Youtuber Ashen Senaratne threatened : lodges a complaint

COLOMBO(News 1st) - Social media influencer Ashen Seneratne lodged a complaint at the Police Headquarters today(October 17). In his complaint, he stated that a political group had threatened him on social media over a recent statement made by him. Ashen Senaratne "If political slaves threaten us, if they warn us not to come out onto the street if we value our lives, we can only seek redress from the law. There was a time in this country where a journalist who spoke the truth in this country was murdered. There was a time when media institutions that spoke the truth were burnt down. I came here before the law because we are frustrated and we wonder if we are heading towards such a time again. Posts like: "you will be the next man to go in a white van" were circulating on social media.
