Jaffna International Airport to commence operations this month

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Cabinet approval has been granted to name Palali Airport as Jaffna International Airport. Batticaloa and Ratmalana airports will also be named as international airports. The code name of the Jaffna International Airport given by the International Civil Aviation Organization and the code names for the other airports have also been announced. Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation said the Jaffna International Airport will be declared open on the 17th of this month or on a date close to it. With the Jaffna, Batticaloa, and Ratmalana, Sri Lanka will boast of a total number of five international airports.
