Colombo (News 1st): State Minister of Tourism Development, Wildlife and Christian Religious Affairs, Ranjith Aluwihare says, he would meet with the President in order to decide on a future course of action regarding the deaths of several elephants at the Hiriwadunna- Thumbikulam reserve in Habarana.
Meanwhile, three special teams have been deployed to investigate the deaths.
Director-General of the Department of Wildlife Conservation, Chandana Sooriyabandara said, while one investigation is being carried out by a team comprising 3 senior officials of the Department, the other investigations are being conducted by the Ministry and the Police.
