Navy arrests 4 Indian fishermen

Colombo (News1st) - 4 Indian fishermen who were fishing in Sri Lankan territorial waters were arrested by the Sri Lanka Navy yesterday. The trawler vessle of the fishermen has also been taken into custody. The arrest was made during routine patrols conducted by the Nothern Naval Command, off the coast of Kovilama point. The group of fishermen were handed over to the Assistant Director of Fisheries in Jaffna for onward action, after a medical examination.
