Report of the Presidential Commission probing into irregularities at SriLankan Airlines and Mihin Lanka to be presented to Attorney General

Colombo (News 1st): Cabinet approved the proposal made by President Maithripala Sirisena to table in Parliament the report of the Presidential Commission of Inquiry appointed to probe SriLankan Airlines, SriLankan Catering, and Mihin Lanka Private Limited. In addition, Cabinet approved to direct the report to the Attorney General to take necessary legal action on 32 recommendations made by the Presidential Commission of Inquiry. The Presidential Commission of Inquiry probed fraud and corruption at SriLankan Airlines, SriLankan Catering and Mihin Lanka Private Limited said to have taken place from 01st of January 2006 to 31st January 2018. The report was recently handed over to President Sirisena and the Commission had made 32 separate recommendations.
