Escalation in cruelty against children : National Child Protection Authority

COLOMBO (News 1st) - National Child Protection Authority stated acts of cruelty against children has escalated recently. Chairperson of the Authority, M. Abeyratne noted that over 60% of the complaints they receive are related to child cruelty.
He added that the authority has already received over 10 000 complaints in 2019 as they record nearly 1500 complaints monthly.
