I will enhance Dhamma education- Minister Sajith Premadasa

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A Dhamma School Building was declared open yesterday(August 12) in Anuradhapura under the Sisu Daham Sevana program. The new building constructed at Sri Gamunu Viharaya in Ranpathvila Kahatagasdigiliya was declared open by the Deputy Leader of the United National Party Minister Sajith Premadasa. This building was constructed at a cost of Rs. 4mn under the guidance of Chief Incumbent Ven. Kumbukweva Wimalbuddhi Thero. Minister Sajith Premadasa noted that they have launched a project to build 1125 Chaithyas and 1000 Dharma halls in the country. He stated that he is accused of spending too much time in temples, and he clarified that he did not start this practice recently and he had been carrying out this for decades. He added that he would put a stop to conducting Dhamma schools under trees if he is to receive the mandate of the people.
