Colombo (News 1st): Venerable Narampanawe Ananda Thero of the Asgiriya Chapter commented on the prevailing situation in the country.
He noted that the country has been destabilized in many aspects. He noted the number of tourists arriving in the country has declined. The syllabus for the Advanced Level students has not been completed due to lack of time, therefore, they are not ready to sit for the exam.
The Thero notes that instead of providing a solution to these issues, the government is in a conflict between the legislature and the executive. He added that the media reported that certain cabinet papers have been stalled without being approved, therefore, when the country is in a situation as such, they don't think the most important issues will be resolved.
