University of Kelaniya closed down until further notice

COLOMBO (News 1st) - All faculties of the Kelaniya University, other than the Ragama Medical faculty, have been closed with immediate effect until further notice. The media spokesperson of the university Dr Wijayananda Rupasinghe noted that following the 4/21 attacks, the university administration implemented several security measures at the university premises. One such security measure was to close down all canteens and halls in the university after 9pm. However students at the university have opposed this move, and as a result the University took the decision to temporarily close down the university.
