Suspect arrested for attempting to bribe OIC to release NTJ member

COLOMBO (News 1st) - An individual was arrested for attempting to bribe the Horowapathana Police OIC to release a member of the banned NTJ Organization. The police noted that the suspect had offered a bribe of Rs.250,000 to the OIC. The suspect was arrested this morning(May 08) following the OIC's revelation to the Bribery Commission. The suspect is a resident of Mukkaragama, Horowpathana. The arrested individual, a suspected member of the National Thowheed Jamath Organization, was produced before the Kebithigollewa Magistrate Court and was remanded till the 14th of June.
