COLOMBO (News 1st) - Information on the assets owned by the terrorist organizations behind the Sunday Easter attack has come to light.
The police media spokesperson SP Ruwan Gunasekera noted that more than Rs. 140mn was discovered by the CID and a portion of the money is placed in the custody of CID. He went on to say that the remainder is kept in the accounts and the CID has already taken steps to freeze the accounts.
The media spokesperson added that assets valued at over Rs. 7bn were discovered by the CID and measures are underway to freeze them.
