70 arrested in connection to Easter bombings

Colombo (News1st) - Police curfew which came into effect at 10 pm last night (April 25) came to an end at 4 am today. According to the Police media spokesperson, over 70 suspects have been arrested so far in connection to the Easter bombings. A team of 15 officials of the CID have been deployed to carry out investigations. Navy Spokesperson Lt. Commander Isura Sooriyabandara notes that security has been beefed by at the Colombo Port. Meanwhile Army media Spokesperson Brig. Sumith Attapattu called on the general public to remain vigilant of their surroundings.
