Dimuth Karunaratne to lead Sri Lanka at 2019 World Cup?

Colombo (News1st) - The Nondescripts Cricket Club reports that opening batsman Dimuth Karunaratne has been named as the Captain of the Sri Lankan national team for the upcoming World Cup. However, the official squad for the 2019 cricket World Cup is yet to be revealed by Sri Lanka Cricket. According to reports, the selectors are set to convene on the 16th of this month to discuss players who have suffered injuries and are expected to release the squad by the 18th of this month. Karunaratne who is considered to be more of a test specialist has only played 17 ODIs in his career, scoring a total of 190 runs. His last ODI outing was in 2015 against England.
