Government overcoming shortage of medicines : Dr. Rajitha Senaratne

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Minister of Health Dr Rajitha Senaratne declared open a new 'Osu-Sala' in Dambulla yesterday(March 26). He noted that he and his ministry managed to meet the medicine needs of state hospitals until the political crisis. He noted that during those 52 days which he was not in power a massive shortage in 216 medicines occurred. He finally noted that not a single tablet was imported and no letter of credit was presented during the crisis. He added that they are overcoming the shortage gradually and expect a return to normalcy by the end of the month.
