COLOMBO (News 1st): MP Vasudeva Nanayakkara directed a barrage of questions at Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe in parliament today (March 14). Looking at these questions, one can clearly notice that it caught the prime minister off guard, to a point where he even seemed to have panicked during the parliamentary debate. However, during previous occasions where questions on the bond scam were raised in parliament, the behaviour of PM Wickremesinghe was different. On such occasions, the government MPs would start to raise a ruckus in the chambers, and the prime minister would respond sarcastically -or even mockingly some times to questions surrounding Arjuna Mahendran or the bond scam. But for some reason - that was clearly not the case today. The only sort of response the Premier had for MP Nanayakkara, was nothing but counter accusations. Read more:
