SriLankan Airlines cancels flights today to Karachi and Lahore

COLOMBO (News 1st) - All the flights scheduled to Karachi and Lahore today(February 28) have been cancelled effective immediately.
SriLankan Airlines Manager for Media Relations and PR, Deepal Perera noted that the decision was based on the temporary closure of Pakistani airspace by the Civil Aviation Authority of Pakistan.
Flights UL 183 and UL 185 which were to depart to Karachi and Lahore respectively will not fly today(February 28).
The tension brewing up between India and Pakistan lead to a temporary closure of Pakistani airspace by the Pakistani authorities.
