12 Houses presented to the National Netball team

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Houses from the Sayuralugura Housing Complex were presented to the twelve team members of the national netball team today(February 12), by Minister of Housing, Construction and Cultural Affairs, Sajith Premadasa. A house was also presented to Noel Ajantha Perera, for his contribution towards developing the traditional Angampora combat techniques. The value of each house was estimated more than Rs.3 million. Minister Sajith Premadasa,Deputy Leader of UNP addressed the sportsman and sportswomen present. He noted that an individual who visited his Ministry had questioned the legal basis of providing free houses as it was beyond the boundaries of the Ministry. Sajith Premadasa said that he was moved by this statement as the houses presented by his ministry was done in good will. He added that it was sad to see unimportant allegations and statements like these making headlines of some media institutions.
