Three arrested for transporting Kerala Ganja

Colombo (News1st): Three suspects including a woman who were engaged in the transportation of Kerala Ganja in a car were arrested near the Galthude bridge in Bandaragama. Police said they seized Kerala Ganja weighing 5 kilograms and nearly 2 grams heroin. During interrogations, the suspects revealed that the car was the same vehicle used in the shooting that took place in Kalutara North Police area on the 1st of January 2019. The police said a revolver, 5 live ammunition, a mobile phone, and 2 notebooks were discovered in a house in the Palathota area Kalutara South following questioning the woman. Investigations have revealed that the suspects had maintained close connections with a criminal who has been imprisoned. Court has granted permission to interrogate the suspects for a period of 7 days in prison.
