A professional and qualified police service

COLOMBO (News 1st) - President Maithripala Sirisena noted that as the subject Minister he would work towards molding the police force into a professional service with qualified individuals. He further said that the National Police Academy should be brought up to the degree level and that all measures will be taken to make this effort a success. The President made this statement addressing the diploma-awarding ceremony of the National Police Academy held at BMICH last evening (January 21).
