10 acres of Agarapathana mountains engulfed in flames

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Over 10 acres of land have

been destroyed

in a fire that spread across the Agarapathana mountains.

The fire had spread to the top of the mountain by 12.30 last afternoon (January 06).

Strong winds had fueled the fire that erupted at the Sen-market under the Agarapathana police division

Due to the prevailing dry weather in the area troops have also begun deliberately setting fires.
