Colombo (News1st): The 144th model village built under the Semata Sevana Housing programme, was declared open by the Minister of Housing, Construction and Cultural Affairs Sajith Premadasa.
The Ranwiyanpura model village constructed in the Puliyankulama area of the Puttalam district consists of 21 houses. The cost incurred for this project is estimated to be Rs. 21.3 million. The village consists of water, electricity, and other infrastructure facilities.
The deeds were presented to the house owners, while spectacles and professional equipment were also distributed in line with the event. The Cultural Affairs Department also donated Rs. 125,000 each to five artists, as medical funds.
