A 38-year-old drowns in Kamala sea

Colombo (News1st): An individual was drowned in Wennappuwa today (December 26). The Police said that a group of five had gone to bathe in the sea in Kamala, Wennapuwa and was caught in a strong current. Three of them were rescued while one still remains missing. The 38-year-old victim, who was a resident of Galaha, succumbed to his injuries following admission to the hospital. Search operations are underway to locate the missing person, who is a 28-year-old resident of Dambethenna, Haputale.
