Firecrackers thrown to the Attanagalla PS Chairman's house

COLOMBO (News 1st): An unidentified group has thrown firecrackers into the residence of Priyantha Pushpakumara, the Chairman of Attanagalla Pradeshiya Saba around 8 pm last night (December 13). The chairman has lodged a complaint at the Veyangoda Police over the incident. While the CCTV at the residence captured the incident, the Chairman said that he recognized the vehicles which were used in the act. He alleged that the vehicles belonged to;

• Chanrdasoma Swarnalal - Attanagalla UNP organizer
• Nalaka Gunasekara - Pradeshiya Sabha Member
• Derik Anuradha - contested the election previously

Pushpakumare also stated that the group that arrived last night included former Pradeshiya Sabha Members and said the group has been identified through CCTV footage. When News 1st inquired from Chanrdasoma Swarnalal regarding the allegation, he said that there were celebrations following the Supreme Court verdict, but denied the allegations made by the Attanagalla PS Chairman.
