The government is stable - Min. Mahinda Amaraweera

Colombo (News1st): The country's government is stable and it only needs governing, said Minister of Agriculture Mahinda Amaraweera adding that there are no plans on dissolving parliament. The minister went onto note that following discussions with all parties they have agreed to hold the provincial council elections in the coming months followed by a presidential election and general election. He noted that the people are aware of the Speakers actions against the constitution adding that his statements were designed in Sirikotha. Mahinda Amaraweera noted that based on the facts the speaker just signs the documents that originated from temple trees. He said that acting against the constitution is a punishable offense and that the speaker must remember that those who go against the constitution can be imprisoned.
