President attends 100th anniversary of Gampaha Bandaranaike College

Colombo (News 1st) - Addressing an event held at the Bandaranaike College in Gampaha, President Maithripala Sirisena said that all citizens including school children should commit to overcoming environmental challenges. The X-BAN Exhibition organized in line with the 100th anniversary of the Bandaranaike College was declared open by the President. The President also declared open the "Videsa Digital School" following a ceremony to place floral tributes at the war heroes memorial built at the school.. A volume of columns authored by late President Counsel Hemantha Warnakulasooriya to the Mawbima Newspaper was also launched under the patronage President Maithripala Sirisena on Saturday. Ministers and parliamentarians including Kumara Welgama, Dinesh Gunawardena, Gotabaya Rajapaksa, Buddhika Pathirana, Arjuna Ranatunga, Dr. Rajitha Senaratne, Anura Priyadarshana Yapa, Sirisena Cooray and Tissa Attanayake also attended the event.
