Colombo (News1st): The first Qatar Visa Centre was opened today in Sri Lanka. The aim is to simplify and facilitate procedures for employers, as well as to provide more protection to expat workers coming to work in Qatar.
Minister of Finance and Mass Media Mangala Samaraweera, State Minister of National Unity and Co-existence A. H. M. Fowzie, Dr. Rashid bin Shafea Al-Marri Ambassador of the State of Qatar in Sri Lanka and several other dignitaries attended the event.
The visa center is designed in line with international standards ensuring traceability and increased security for the visa applicants. The center operates between 08:30 am to 04:30 pm from Monday to Friday.
