Pottuvil OIC hospitalized after assault

Colombo (News 1st) - The OIC of the Pottuvil police station was hospitalized after an assault. Police stated that the OIC was attacked by a stone and was wounded when he was attempting to resolve a dispute in the Murusana are in Pottuvil. The attack happened yesterday (September 28) at 2 AM when a group of policemen along with the OIC had gone to resolve a dispute. The individual who assaulted the OIC has not been identified yet. The OIC was admitted to the Pottuvil hospital and later transferred to the Ampara base hospital.
