Supreme court reiterates order to SLMC to register SAITM graduate

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Supreme Court has ordered the Sri Lanka Medical Council (SLMC) to immediately execute the order given by the Court of Appeal to register the student who was awarded a medical degree at SAITM Private Medical College with the SLMC. The Supreme Court delivered this ruling dismissing the appeal filed by the Sri Lanka Medical Council and the Government Medical Officers' Association against the ruling of the Court of Appeal. The Supreme Court stated the wrongful actions of the Sri Lanka Medical Council has delayed the rights of the petitioner causing her anguish and considerable expenses.
