Kaduwela-Biyagama bridge to be renovated

Colombo (News 1st) - The bridge across Kelani river connecting Kaduwela and Biyagama is to be expanded. MP Sujeewa Senasinghe stated yesterday (September 19) that a project to expand the bridge is underway. The MP stated that no matter who declares the bridge open after construction, it is ultimately an asset to the country. He further said that the infrastructure in a country is built by the public tax money. The MP noted that the objective of overseeing the project is to make sure there are no corrupt financial transactions in the process. Adding to his statement on a different note he stated that exports in the country have increased from 11Bn to 16Bn by 70 per cent. MP Senasinghe stated that they hope to increase exports by 22Bn.
