Colombo (News1st): The Yala National Park will be closed for a period of two months starting tomorrow (September 01). This is due to the prevailing dry weather and taking into consideration the well being of the wildlife in the reserve. Wildlife Director General Chandana Sooriyabandara said during this time the department will work to renovate and improve the holiday bungalows and other infrastructure facilities. As a result, block one or the Palatupana gate will remain closed. Chandana Sooriyabandara added that the park will reopen to the public on the 1st of November.
