New accident ward for the Kandy Teaching Hospital

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Steps have been taken to establish a new Accident Ward for the Kandy Teaching Hospital.
Director of the Kandy Teaching Hospital Saman Ratnayake said the new unit will consist of 190 beds.
At present, the hospital has no accident ward and is functioning with the services of an emergency treatment unit, which can cater to only a limited number of patients.
The new accident ward will also contain an intensive care unit (ICU) consisting of 6 beds.
