Over 110 arrested for pilfering electricity

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Over 110 people have been arrested for illegally obtaining electricity in the Thotalanga area in Colombo.
The Ministry of Power and Renewable Energy said a raid was carried out early this morning with the assistance of the Mutuwal and Slave Island Police.
The suspects have been handed over to the Grandpass Police for further investigations and they are to be produced before courts this evening.
The Ministry requests the general public to inform them about any person that obtains electricity illegally by calling the numbers listed below:-
