Sri Lanka railways halts train services to Talaimannar

Colombo (News 1st) - The Department of Railways has taken steps to halt train services from Medawachchiya to Talaimannar for a period of three months due to necessary maintenance services. Deputy Commercial Superintendent at the Department of Railways N.J. Idipolage stated that 4 train services operated on a daily basis from Colombo to Talaimannar and Talaimannar to Colombo. The Department added that a special SLTB bus service will be made available for the route during this period.
