Adi Vel processions leaves TCMOL

COLOMBO (News 1^st) - The Adi Vel procession organized by The Capital Maharaja Organization Limited, left Colombo this morning (July 23) en-route to the Kataragama Maha Devalaya. The procession left the premises following special poojas this morning (July 23). The Adi Vel procession, carrying the Velayudha will reach Kataragama Maha Devalaya passing Wellawatte, Dehiwala, Nugegoda, and Maharagama. The Velayudha which traveled from the historic Selvasanniddi Kovil in Jaffna was brought to the Head Office of the Capital Maharaja Organization Limited in a colorful parade. Devotees flocked to the Adi Vel Shakthi Vel festival to pay homage to the sacred Velayudha yesterday (July 22).
